Adria is hosting us at her beautiful restaurant Maple & Kings and celebrating with an array of carefully selected summer plates to complement our fizz!

Possibly most well known for her appearances on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, Adria is Canadian born and raised, and, with an insatiable hunger for cooking, left the corporate world and studied at Le Cordon Bleu in London and the College of Naturopathic Medicine.

“Creating food has always been my one true love,” she says.  “Growing up, I constantly helped my mother in the kitchen and would watch in awe as she prepared beautiful meals for our family. I would gladly help manage our garden where we grew fruit and vegetables, and accompany her to the farmer’s markets, local butcher shop and fishmonger where I learned about the importance of fresh ingredients.

“My love affair with food started at a very young age and food was never far from my thoughts, despite graduating as an engineer and working in management consulting and finance.”

Maple is a growing chain of healthy eateries and juice bars across London.  With a nod to hr Canadian birthplace, Maple’s first location was Fitzrovia, with Maple & Fitz launching in 2014.  Time Out called it “One of London’s Best Healthy Eateries.”  A second followed in the College of Naturopathic Medicine, Maple & CNM, and a third opened in King’s Cross in the spring of 2017.

Adria also works alongside brands like Nike, MAC Cosmetics, Lululemon, Urban Outfitters and Simple Skin Care.

As well as running a successful and growing business, she also lectures at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, mentors underprivileged women in entrepreneurship and teaches natural cooking for corporate and private groups.

“It’s a lot of hard work, but I couldn’t ask for a more rewarding and fun career!” she says.
