Tomato Skinny Prosecco, Anyone?

By Ian Thomson

A match made in heaven... or hell?

Some partnerships are obvious: pancakes and maple syrup, pillowy halloumi and treacly Greek honey, Mollie King (here enjoying a chilled Skinny Mini bottle of Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco) and Strictly.  Others you have to be a bit brave to consider.  Balsamic vinegar, say, doesn't feel such as though it would fall in love with strawberries in the same way cream does.

You say Tomato... I say, "Really?!"

So what do you think of the concept of tomato juice and Skinny Prosecco?  We adore Turner & Hardy, a range of juices made from the finest Isle of Wight tomatoes inspired by one glass too many of inferior Bloody Mary.

Their Lively One is our favourite, combining just the right mix of spice to sweet, without an artificial ingredient or sugar cube in sight.

Not so different to Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco, but would the two combine to become the new Bucks Fizz or Dark & Stormy?

We'll report back, or maybe The Mill at Gordleton in the New Forest will.  Set alongside the river Avon, The Mill is located in the hamlet of Gordleton and attracts a mix of walkers, foodies and lovers of green - the hotel has its own Secret Garden full of art works and sculptures.  The Mill stocks Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco and Turner & Hardy, and we are looking forward to seeing how the partnership develops!
