Popping Cork!

Popping Cork!

We love Cork. It’s a vibrant city with a flourishing food scene and 24 major festivals every year. Next up is the Cork Film Festival, celebrating its 62nd birthday from 10-19 November 2017.

We went to visit one of our favourite restaurants. Isaacs, established by Michael & Catherine Ryan and Canice Sharkey is a real institution. The food is breath-taking, showcasing the area’s incredible produce. You won’t get fresher seafood (West Cork crab crumble with sourdough, anyone?) or tastier lamb. The restaurant is located on vibrant McCurtain Street, in a former warehouse dating to the 18th century, across from the Everyman Palace Theatre.

Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco is firmly on the wine list here, and the Isaacs team are right behind it, as you’ll hear if you ask the staff who tasted in this weekend.  We had a great night there and are thrilled that Skinny Prosecco corks are popping in Cork. It feels only right and proper.  Or as they say in Cork, we’ll be ‘away for slates’!
