It's Our Birthday!

We like to celebrate birthdays at Thomson & Scott. It’s hard not to, in all honesty, because our office is filled with sparkling wine and there’s a lot of water-cooler chat about perfect cocktails. This naturally occasionally turns into mixing some. What can I say – we practice what we preach!

RIBA launch of Skinny Prosecco was two years ago this month... how far we've come!

This particular birthday is an emotional one for me because two years ago we launched Thomson & Scott Prosecco. Our ‘soft launch’ was at a party at RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) in London. The party was a buzzy one, and gave us lots of confidence as we prepared for our official launch at Selfridges.  View the launch party film below.

It probably doesn’t need saying, but this was a big deal. Selfridge’s Food Hall is famous the world over and if you can make your product stand out there then you have moved a giant step forward in becoming a brand to be reckoned with.

So after a lot of carrying heavy Thomson & Scott Prosecco boxes, setting up a pop-up bar, and answering questions about what makes our wine vegan (no animal by-products commonly used in sparkling wine production go near our grapes) and if it was actually made in Italy (yes! Near the Soligo region in the foothills of the Dolomites), we were ready to go.

We sold out three times in our first week, and we are Selfridge's' most searched-for online wine brand to this day.
